My nature tripping habits mirror that of my dining preferences - I always pick the same dishes, same places. Venus Drive this morning was a refreshing change of scenery. Or should I say… habitats. Alway from the mangroves and coasts, oddities of the entomological and arachnological worlds abound (too) in the secondary forests. Add to that the first star sighting of the day, spotted unexpectedly on a tree trunk - a beautiful Kendall’s Rock Gecko, which with its round pupils looks as if it’s living in a perpetual state of shock.
