After arriving into Alice Springs, our group split and headed our own ways. We followed the rock tour which took us to King Canyon, Kata Tjuta and Uluru National Park. The new group of people were full of interesting people again. For one, there was this old man, must be in his 60s or 70s who was still like a teenager inside. Whenever we stopped on the side to get woods for campfire he would be the first one out there beating us (the young ones) to it. At night, I had the opportunity to listen to some of his life story. He was an Engineer who worked all around Africa building mines and he also traveled the world telling us of this place and that place he traveled to and his views into African Politics (which I happened to know a little about).

I somehow managed to be singled out a bit in this trip, partly because Craig (our tour guide) always called out my name on the bus - I don’t know whether its just that my name stands out or that I don’t eat pork…He asked me “Did anyone called you Camel.” - Come on! Get more original…!! Here are some more pictures:

By the way, I chose to walk around it and not up it - and I am proud of that
