I seriously don’t understand why anyone who does not have pre knowledge of linux and computing of a higher level would choose this machine. It took me more than 2 hours trying to configure this machine to go online. After doing that, I wanted to install an application which can do web conference. I don’t know how to install applications. You would think the installing application button would send you to a site which you can just download and install. But no…It just tantalise you. When you click install, it the firefox download dialogue comes out and asks “Which program do you want to use to?” - The .cnr file (click ‘n run) file is not supported unless you have a cnr client, which does not have support for Xandros yet.
I think I will sit here for another 1 or 2 days and find a way to customise it the way I want it. I am so tempted to install Ubuntu on this because Ubuntu just works so much more beautifully. Should I just wait for cnr support or just stick with these crappy softwares Asus had given us - see I really don’t see the point of putting a webcam there when you can’t use it for MSN! Sigh…This is so badly designed!
