The Summit Trail
Taking street photography is not easy in UK. It had been a while since I had puppy eyes and felt so dejected. I must stand up for my own right.

The Summit Trail
Woke up at 6:00am this morning and tried my hands on wildlife photography at Richmond Park in the west of London. I don’t really think I have an eye for wildlife photography compared to some of my very experienced photographer friends here.
More pictures can be found here.

The Summit Trail
Well, many people know that I am quite into photography (well, just started not long ago - but its been one thing I have been actively seeing through), and having talked to someone here and someone there, I have been offered many old cameras (for free ^^).
My uncle gave me his Nikon F-501, Nikkor 50mm [...]

Tonight, Tokyo @ 6:11pm to 9:54pm, or 21st February 2008 in Europe. I think I cannot take a good photo of it tonight, maybe 1/2 year later.

Yeah, its me speaking again. My influence of people around me has become more and more substantial. After Matthieu bought his D40 Double Lens Kit with VR, Randy got his Canon 400D and today he just ordered 2 more Lenses, EF-S 17-85mm IS and EF-S 10-22mm. The other day I saw Loic with his [...]

ITS OFFICIAL NOW!!! URGH…yeah, no $$ and all. Detoxication of desires I would call it. Must wait until I have my own money and when I graduate. There - a graduate present for myself. Must work hard new year to get a job which can pay for my endless need for new camera equipment.
You can [...]

To all my Nikonian friends - although not yet announced…but anticipating. Don’t think I will upgrade until a year later, but its nice to know what there is available. 14 MP with GPS…I wonder how true this is. Anyway, the true successor of D200 will be announced soon, and before that you can speculate from [...]

The Summit Trail
Lately I feel a sense of purpose in what I do. Maybe its because I am leaving, or maybe its because I have just really gotten used to this lifestyle, gotten to this new life I have. But within 2 weeks, I would have to leave. Well, I am not missing it much, but I [...]

Back to the analogue era. I used my father’s minolta XD5 to take some monochrome pictures. I must say, its much much better than I expected it to be.
Here are poorly digitalised version of the development. I must say, Japan is VERY expensive for developing film - or its just that HK is very cheap. [...]

Erm…Well, my dad gave me his old semi-automatic Minolta SLR XD5. I have been using Kodak BW ISO 400 on it and a 50mm f/1.7 lens. I am not used to anything below f/3.5 so I was quite worried about the quality of the photo since everytime I finish taking the photo I will look [...]

Thought I might catch your attention with this title :D! Have you ever heard of the non-photography day? If not you might be interested to read about it here. On my site here you can find my advocation for photography and rarely a post against it.
Just yesterday, Bert asked me about photography - and he [...]

The Summit Trail
I am looking forward to playing with my Dad’s old Minolta XD-5. Although its the cheaper version on the Minolta X-series SLR back in the 70s, this camera is described to be as good as the XD-7 with the difference being the metering is outside the view finder instead of inside which XD-7 has. This [...]
