During my last few hours of duty proper with YOG yesterday midnight, all systems crashed. I had never been more desperate to get back home, to snuggle up in bed. Temperature was rising, head was pounding.
I think my body was waiting for it, waiting for the excitement and everything to be over, holding out until I was done with the UK trip and the YOG before getting the rest it deserves.
So I watched some House. This particular scene made me laugh:
Dr Eric Foreman: Do you think⦠Iām boring?
Dr Robert Chase: Yes.
Dr Eric Foreman: Youāre saying that just to screw with me.
Dr Robert Chase: Yeah. Why would you expect anything else?
Dr Eric Foreman: I expect House to pull my strings. I expect Cameron to make me feel better. I expect the new team to kiss my ass. And I expect you to be honest, because you donāt give a crap.
Dr Robert Chase: ā¦Yes. Youāre boring. That speech was boring.
Dr Eric Foreman: [sarcastically] Thanks so much.
Dr Robert Chase: You donāt let other peopleās problems affect you. You donāt let your *own* problems affect you. And itās the problems that make us interesting. Youāre never out of control. Which is good⦠and⦠boring. Never losing control also means never putting yourself out there, never pushing your limits. On the other hand, you have a tattoo. Maybe Iām wrong.
