So my dad was browsing through my shelf, and the little book on Happiness by Edward Monkton that my sis got for me from Oxford caught his eye.
“Ahh, this is the type of book I’d like to publish. Simple but attractive, with lots of illustrations.”
I was busy with my writing. “Umm.”
“Can I borrow it?”
“Orh.”
Ten minutes later, he came back with the book in hand. “This sucks.”
I was still too busy writing to defend the poor Monkton, but managed a “You lack a sense of humour.”
“Huh. What humour?”
