Enigma
Do we keep changing or do we grow to become more of who we are?

I realised now that maybe we just keep changing…

A hamster in a treadmill: the faster it runs, the faster the wheel spins… Once the wheel gets turning, they may be driving the wheel just as much as they are being driven. It is, in both ways, complementary and synergistic. :)
^^ That was in my UCAS personal statement lol. Your post reminded me of it.

Oh and another one, from Montaigne again I think:
“The foundation of my being and identity is purely moral; it consists in the fidelity to the faith I swore to myself. I am not really the same as yesterday; I am the same only because I admit to being the same, because I take responsibility of a certain past as my own, and because I intend to recognise my present commitment as still my own in future.”
So we are always us. We *are*.

“We all grow to become more of who we are” - that was what I said to Kaiting in JC. Though neither of us can remember in what context I said it. She reminded me of it a few days ago, and I’ve been chewing on it since.
Think of it now, it is not entirely true. I guess I was thinking of “ÈËÖ®³õ£¬ÐÔ±¾ÉÆ¡£”. I don’t want to challenge what I’ve said, but surely it is not entirely applicable to all contexts. I am thinking now where do we draw the line?
Will start preparation for viva and then think about it tomorrow.
